Zach and Elysia

Zach and Elysia are a fun couple to hangout with.  Zach just finish his Master of Fine Arts degree from Portland State and Elysia will be starting school again this fall in Kansas City.  They leave next week and we will be sad to see them go.  Zach recently proposed to Elysia by hiding an engagement ring in a pair of couple's mittens.  Way to go Zach and good luck in Kansas City.

Product Photography

I have been shooting for O'Gallerie, a fine art and antique auction house here in Portland.  Here are some of the photos I have taken recently.

andrew + ellyn wedding

I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Andrew and Ellyn, a couple with style. They are both Oregon raised but live in New York. The wedding was held at Andrew's family farm outside of Coburg, a quaint town just north of Eugene.

Ellyn, a recent Public Administration grad from NYU put her skills to work. She handmade invitations complete with a little hand stitched booklet. She found a vintage dress with amazing fabric at a shop in NY and customized it to fit her style.

Andrew and Ellyn wanted to inspire creativity in their guests, so they asked many of them to bring homemade pies to be placed at each table. There's nothing like fresh homemade black berry pie, except black berry pie and then apple pie and then cherry pie. The additional catering was provided by one of my favorites, Cornucopia.

Cheers to the happy couple!

Mirror Lake, Mt. Hood

I went backpacking to Mirror Lake with a couple of buddies from High School and College. Mirror Lake is a few miles west of Government Camp near Mt. Hood in Oregon. We had beautiful weather, some nice trout and plenty of mosquitoes.

Welcome

Hello, I am Michelle, Philip's wife. I am excited to be starting a new blog, showing Philip's recent work and sharing some of the great ideas we have seen over the years. I love checking out the pictures and hearing about all the wedding details from Philip after an event. I have also had my share of wedding experience as I have arranged flowers, decorated cakes, and scrubbed a few pans as well. Check back soon for new posts and pictures. I'll soon have up some reviews on recommended vendors and will be sharing some of my favorite wedding ideas.

If you have seen some of Philip's Art Photography, (or past vechiles) you'll see that he has a love for old cars. A friend let us borrow this classic for our wedding.
